Employers and building operators are becoming more aware of the health risks associated with water systems within their premises – from process cooling towers, to the simple kitchen tap.
Legislation has been prepared to ensure that exposure to harmful micro-organisms such as the bacteria Legionella pneumophila, E.coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, is removed or at least adequately controlled.
An integrated management system should be derived, documented and implemented to ensure appropriate controls are identified and applied.
